For example 1) keep you from puttting the vertical planter too close to the wall and allow for good spacing 2) plant support you can use it alone or use bamboo or other sticks or cotton strings to guide your tomatoes or other vines to the plant support so you don’t have to put more than one or two sets per 5-7 level of planter.
