Lavender Lemonade

Cody's Lavender Lemonade

Cody, GreenStalk

Cody, GreenStalk's Chief Operating Officer, tried lavender lemonade for the first time years ago with her sister Ashley at the Lavender Festival in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. They have been hooked ever since! This recipe is delicious, refreshing, and a great way to use fresh lavender from the garden.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of dried lavender buds or the buds from 6-8 fresh sprigs of English Lavender
  • Ice

Directions

Step 1

Start by combining 2 cups of water with all of the sugar and lavender in a small pot.

Step 2

On medium heat, stir the ingredients until the sugar is dissolved and the liquid is hot, but not boiling.

Step 3

Remove from the heat and let sit for 30 minutes to an hour. Strain the mixture into a large pitcher to remove the lavender buds.

Step 4

Add ice, lemon juice, and the remaining 2 cups of water. Serve and enjoy!
